Q: How has the pandemic affected dating and relationships?

It’s been a wake up call for those who have been looking for love through swipes, texts, and random connections. The superficial nature of that has never been more felt than during self-isolation. I think we’re realizing how important the range of human relationships are to us and how much we need genuine connection… How much we want real, lasting love.

Q: A $10,000.00 sweepstakes is a BIG prize. What motivated you to launch this now?

This is my way of giving back to our Carolina community. I feel deeply for those experiencing loneliness at all times, but particularly now. I want to let people know there is hope for love even during the most difficult times. There are happily ever afters and there is true love— I’ve seen it, experienced it, and been a part of creating it for my clients many times. I want to give someone hope and the joy that comes from finding what they need.

Q: What can the winner expect out of their experience?

We’ll work with the winner to create a confidential profile so that we develop a full picture of who they are, and what they need and want out of life and love. We’ll then begin combing our database of eligible professionals in their area to identify six quality matches for them to meet. In the meantime, the winner will enjoy some of our bonus services including an image consultation, a life coaching session and preparation to master their first-date.

Q: What does the winner’s love story look like?

It looks like what they are honest and brave enough to ask for.

Q: How should your clients manage social distancing and dating during this time?

We will proceed based on their comfort level. They may start with virtual dates before graduating to a socially-distanced walk in the park or hike in nature. Once the winner finds their match, we’ll encourage them to selfquarantine for 14 days before sitting down for a more intimate dinner or date.

Q: Who are your typical clients?

Most of our clients are referrals. They are honest, intelligent, successful, single adults in various stages of life who want forever love. They may be accustomed to hiring experts and consultants in other areas of their life, so a professional matchmaking consultant is a good fit for them. They typically do not want the online visibility that comes with websites and apps. Some of our clients have a history of unsuccessful relationships or have given up on the bar scene. In either case, they are ready for a real relationship and want a consultant who will find the best opportunities for them.

Q: What does the future of dating look like?

Texting, swiping, and video calling will continue but it is inherently superficial. The virtual nature of it encourages continued “browsing” for partners and doesn’t lend itself to developing an intimate, emotional, quality connection. It’s going to be so much harder to find the love of your life if you and your potential dating pool are all wading through that same visual and psychological noise.
